Typhoon Lupit / Ramil

Typhoon Lupit / Ramil is expected to , bring winds of 121 mph (195 kph), to the Philippines on Thursday, the Philippine National Disaster Coordinating Council said.

At this time, Typhoon Lupit / Ramil has intensified, with winds gusting up to 109 mph (175 kph) on Monday.
A spokeswoman for arelief agency in the Philippines said they were rushing to get relief supplies to the northern part of the island of Luzon, where Typhoon Lupit / Ramil is expected to strike first





Early Tuesday, Lupit / Ramil was about 510 miles (820 km) east of Cagayan, the northernmost province of Luzon. Relief agencies fear landslides and storm surges from Lupit / Ramil could very well unleash further devastation on The Philippines who's residents are already reeling from the raith of Tropical Storm Ketsana and Typhoon Parma.






As of Tuesday, the combined death toll of Tropical Storm Ketsana and Typhoon Parma stood at 858 on Tuesda.
