TATUM O'NEIL Arrested for COCAINE POSSESSION

Tatum O’Neil, the Oscar winning actress and daughter to Ryan has been arrested in New York; she was reportedly caught by police officers trying to buy crack cocaine and powder cocaine. When O’Neil was approached by officers in the Lower East Side of Manhattan she said to them “Do you know who I am?” In a desperate attempt to get out of the situation, Tatum told police “’I'm researching a part - I’m doing this for a part as a junkie.” There are also reports that the former wife of John McEnroe had a crack pipe on her person.

The arrest of Tatum O’Neil was the result of a police drugs team who were conducting a sweep of an area which is a known drugs blackspot. The troubled actress has now been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Alan Garcia, who is the suspected drug dealer has also been arrested and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.

It seems that Tatum has not had good role models to live up too, firstly her mother Joanna Moore was an alcoholic, as well has having an addiction to amphetamines. Her father Ryan also had a run in with police last year. Many thought that Tatum was finally off drugs in 1996, after going through rehab for her addition.
