The group PETA never disappoints in their quest for animal rights. Their latest campaign urges ice cream company Ben & Jerry's to use human breast milk, instead of cow's milk in their products.
In a letter to the company's founders, PETA notes that a restaurant in Switzerland is set to unveil a new menu with products made with at least 75 percent breast milk taken from human donors.
The organization claims that switching to breast milk would be medically beneficial to humans, and also spare the cows, which are forcefully impregnated every nine months to keep them producing milk.
Although this may be true, I just have to say... gross. The people over at Ben & Jerry's apparently thought the same thing. They issued a letter to the group saying thanks but no thanks, a mother's milk is meant for her child.
