Sarah Palin had a TANNING Bed installed in her Alaska Governers Mansion

Republican US vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin had got a tanning bed installed at her gubernatorial residence in Juneau, Alaska, shortly after she declared May 2007 ‘Skin Cancer Awareness Month’.

The press materials at the time had proclaimed over-exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun and tanning beds overwhelming causes of skin cancer.

Roger Wetherell, chief communications officer of Alaska's Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, has revealed that Palin had got the tanning bed installed shortly after she became Alaska Governor.

"She did. She paid for it with her own money," Usmagazine.com quoted Roger Wetherell, chief communications officer of Alaska''s Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, as saying.

"It was done shortly after she took office (in early 2007) and moved into the mansion," he told the Narco News.

Wetherell also revealed that the tanning bed was a second hand purchase from a health club.

Earlier, The Narco News Bulletin had reported Palin’s penchant for a bronzed look.

Palin's running mate and presidential candidate John McCain battled skin cancer in 1993, and again in 2000.
