John Travolta and Kelly Preston's 16-year-old son, JETT TRAVOLTA, who had a history of health problems, was killed by a "seizure," according to the death certificate issued today.
While the official results of JETT TRAVOLTA's AUTOPSY today have yet to been publicly announced, mortician Glen Campbell of the Restview Memorial Mortuary in the Bahamas confirmed to E! News that cause of death was a seizure and "there was no sign of head trauma."
"The body was in good condition," Campbell said.
A source close to the proceedings also said that a preliminary report on JETT TRAVOLTA's DEATH determined "there is no foul play," corroborating what a Travolta family lawyer initially stated last Friday.
"It is not a suspicious death. JETT TRAVOLTA's body wouldn't already be turned over to the mortuary if there was anything suspicious," the source said. Autopsies are standard procedure in the Bahamas in cases of sudden death.
Bahamian Minister of Health Hubert Minnis did not say when, or if, the autopsy findings would be made public. Bahamian official and close Travolta family friend Obie Wilchcombe tells E! News that the autopsy was completed at 12 p.m. local time.
Mortuary director Keith McSweeney also confirmed that JETT TRAVOLTA's body is being cremated. "The remains will be turned over to his family tomorrow," he said.
A funeral service for JETT TRAVOLTA was expected Wednesday in Ocala, Fla., where the Travoltas have a home.
Late Monday afternoon, a black hearse—apparently a decoy—traveled from the funeral home to the local airport, where two jets waited. Police in dress uniform blocked access to the tarmac.
The autopsy was conducted by two pathologists this morning. The local coroner in Freeport was joined by a U.S.-certified specialist, who was flown in from Nassau at dawn. The dual reports were intended to ensure accuracy and provide a more thorough analysis of what transpired.
Wilchcombe says the Travolta family doctor was also flown in to observe this morning's autopsy after getting special clearance from the health ministry.
The results confirm Travolta family lawyer Michael Ossi's statement that Jett suffered a fatal seizure. JETT TRAVOLTA's body was discovered by a caretaker Friday morning, and despite efforts to revive him, including an attempt at CPR by John Travolta, JETT TRAVOLTA never regained consciousness.
JETT TRAVOLTA, who suffered from Kawasaki disease, had a history of such attacks, Ossi said.
There is one minor mystery, however. The report that there was no indication of head trauma contradicts initial statements made by local police, who said that JETT TRAVOLTA had hit his head on the bathtub in his room at the Old Bahama Bay resort, presumably after suffering a seizure.
There's been no immediate comment from authorities on the discrepancy.

Officials in the Bahamas on Monday conducted an autopsy on JETT TRAVOLTA, the teenage son of actor John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, who died here last week during a family holiday, police said.
The results of the autopsy to find how 16-year-old JETT TRAVOLTA died could be made public as early as Monday afternoon, the Nassau police told AFP.
JETT TRAVOLTA was last seen on New Year's Day when he went to use the bathroom at the family's residence at the Old Bahama Bay Resort on Grand Bahama island, a statement issued Sunday by the Bahamas' police Chief Superintendent Basil Rahming said.
"He was discovered in the bathroom in an unconscious state around 10:00 am" the next day by a caretaker, the statement said.
JETT TRAVOLTA had a history of seizures since he was a toddler, and a lawyer for his father said he may have suffered a lethal one on Friday.
JETT TRAVOLTA was the only son of Travolta, 54, and actress Preston, 46. The couple also has an eight-year-old daughter, Ella.
Hours before JETT TRAVOLTA's AUTOPSY was conducted, JETT TRAVOLTA's grieving family issued a statement about the loss of their son and brother.
"Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief," the family said in a statement Sunday.
"We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us," the statement said, signed: "With love, John, Kelly and Ella."
JETT TRAVOLTA's FUNERAL is scheduled in Ocala, Florida, where his family lives.
JETT TRAVOLTA's life was complicated by health woes from a young age.
His mother, who like her husband is a member of the Church of Scientology, had "credited a detoxification program based on the writings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard with helping to improve Jett's health," according to People Magazine.
JETT TRAVOLTA's father, meanwhile, has denied reports that his son was autistic, but said that at age two, JETT TRAVOLTA had Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition that can lead to heart disease, US media reported.
A vascular illness in which the blood vessels are inflamed, Kawasaki Syndrome occurs almost exclusively in infants and toddlers, Robert Baltimore, a professor in pediatrics at Yale University's school of medicine said.
Symptoms include prolonged fever, often a rash, red lips and tongue, and sometimes arthritis and behavioral changes, said Baltimore, who is a specialist in Kawasaki Syndrome.
But the illness, the cause of which is not known, does not usually result in seizures, does not continue for many years, and rarely recurs, Baltimore said.
Treatments given JETT TRAVOLTA, as reported by US media, "are not part of what I would call conventional treatment for Kawasaki disease," he added.
No information was available about the type of treatment JETT TRAVOLTA received when he was diagnosed with Kawasaki Syndrome or for his seizures.
A Church of Scientology spokeswoman told AFP the church has no teachings on what medical care members should seek and "absolutely does not prevent people from seeking medical treatment."
"Scientologists go to medical doctors, use prescription drugs, take painkillers, have surgery when they need it," spokeswoman Karin Pouw said.
"There is absolutely nothing in the religion that says it shouldn't be done and the church absolutely does not encourage members not to.
"If somebody's sick, they go to a doctor. If the doctor says to take a certain medication, it's a medical decision; the church is not involved whatsoever," she said.
Raised in Englewood, New Jersey, John Travolta is famous for roles on television and in films such as "Grease," "Pulp Fiction" (1994) and "Primary Colors" (1998).
He received Academy Award nominations for the disco epic "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) and gritty "Pulp Fiction."
